Remember when Google Plus traffic went up 1269% in one week? Well, you can scratch that. New traffic data from analytics firm Chitika show that the insurgent social network has erased those gains entirely.
Google Plus opened to the public on September 20, leading to the huge spike in interest that we reported, peaking around two days later. But just in the four days that followed, traffic sunk back down to where it was.
Why Innovatio's Wi-Fi Patent Rampage is a Good Thing -
According to the Patent Examiner, a company called Innovatio IP Ventures is suing individual branches of hotel chains for use of Wi-Fi. Though I’m staunchly against software patents – and by extension software patent lawsuits – I think this is a good thing.
The company is launching a “systematic campaign” according to Matthew McAndrews, the lead litigator for Innovatio. The company is trying to shake down “several hundred” defendants for $2,300 to $5,000. Says McAndrews, “We want you to continue to use this technology, we just want our client to get his due share. This is not a seat-of-the-pants, fly-by-night shakedown.”

I have been playing with the HDR photography on my Iphone 4. I am definitely an amateur photographer but this functionality has caught my interest enough to begin learning more about photography. I can not believe the level of detail this feature brings out in a photo. The iphone saves each picture you take in 2 formats, the HDR and non HDR. The two pictures below were taken with my iphone 4 this AM looking into a foggy forest. Notice the fog in the top center of the photo. The HDR photo brings in the leaves that were lost in the fog in the non HDR photo.
If only New York state sold wine in their super markets. I am a serious Wegmans fan and had the opportunity to shop in one of their Virginia stores where wine is allowed to be sold. I was quite impressed to say the least. There were many rows just like this one.
They even had a locked case for those “special” wines.
There was some very pricey wines in this case.
And some very BIG bottles of wine too!
And even BIGGER bottles with big price tags.
Please NYS sell wine in grocery stores.
